Background:

To boost the launch of the AKG Home Podcasting kit, we crafted an acrylic Customer Touchpoint Unit (CTU) strategically placed in Currys stores throughout the UK and Ireland.

Challenges Faced:

Midway through the project, complications arose as available in-store space dwindled, necessitating a redesign and imposing a significant time constraint. Despite these obstacles, our team’s unwavering dedication ensured the successful completion of the project within the tight deadline.

Security and Display Design:

A critical aspect of the display was securely affixing the live product while allowing customers to try the headphones. Balancing product security to prevent theft, meeting stakeholder requirements, and ensuring a seamless consumer experience presented a design challenge that our team adeptly navigated.

Learnings and Adaptability:

This project underscored the importance of adaptability in the face of adversity. Our team’s resilience and determination were instrumental in transforming unforeseen challenges into opportunities for growth. The experience emphasised the significance of overcoming obstacles, ultimately contributing to the project’s success.

Project Processes:

1. **Material and Production Process:** Carefully selected appropriate materials and production processes for the main structure and the refreshable graphics kit.

2. **Technical Drawings and Approval:** Generated technical drawings aligning with retailer specifications and obtained approval for production.

3. **Prototype Management:** Oversaw prototype approval and supervised the final production phase.

4. **Shipping Logistics:** Provided secure outer packaging (box in box) for safe transit and managed the shipping logistics to individual store locations.

This case study highlights how our team navigated challenges, emphasizing the importance of resilience, adaptability, and dedication in achieving successful project outcomes.
